Visualize Uganda and Rwanda (more pictures).

Rosette learns to Hula Hoop at the Cultural Exchange at her school (L'ecole de saint famille).

My favorite muzungu cafe in Gulu, Uganda= Cafe Larame! The best (and only) grilled cheese and cafe mocha you can find in Gulu town.

Me enjoying a little rest in the front seat during the trip from Uganda to Rwanda. This van almost overheated very shortly after this photo was taken, as we attempted to climb a huge hill out of UG.

At the cultural exchange Rosette shows off her Rwandese traditional dancing skills. Side note: she is the only girl in her school who I ever saw wearing the boys uniform instead of the girls (pencil skirt and blouse), and I love her that much more for it!

Rosette and I plant a tree at her school to (pure cheesiness) "plant the seed of this partnership between L'ecole and SIT. Not our idea but still fun.

  2. Seeds... New Beginnings... it's all good. Our biggest challenge, I think, is to foster our own OPEN MIND so that new ideas, new friends and new alliances can take root in our hearts.
